The new building must satisfy the following conditions:
- minimal impact on the landscape. The solution has been to make most of the structure hypogean.
- reduction of the thermal transmittance in order to obtain a more efficient air-conditioning. The lawn on the roof was the answer.
- a clear vista of Mount Etna and a direct access to the lake.
